The women’s tennis team takes a cue from the men’s team this weekend and travels to Charleston, S.C., for two matches.

The Mocs just returned from a Charleston visit and played the College of Charleston and The Citadel.  The Lady Mocs take on Charleston Southern Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and the College of Charleston Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Lady Mocs carry a 5-5 record and a 1-2 Southern Conference mark on the trip.  They are coming off a 5-2 SoCon win over Appalachian State last Saturday in which Chattanooga received singles wins from seniors Lindsey Ballard and Bonnie Adams and freshmen Grace Robinette and Arianna Sanjines.

Charleston Southern is 5-3-1 overall and had a five-match win streak before UNC Greensboro put a halt to it with a 5-2 win Wednesday.

The College of Charleston owns a 9-2 overall record and has a SoCon victory over Western Carolina.  The Cougars host UNCG Friday and Elon Saturday before the matchup with Chattanooga.
