The women’s tennis team seeks to close out the regular dual match season on a winning note Saturday, taking on Southern Conference rival Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Ga.  The match at the Hanner Tennis Complex will begin at 11 a.m.

The Lady Mocs, 8-10 on the year and 2-6 within the league, can improve their seeding for the upcoming SoCon Championships with a victory.

Chattanooga, coming off a 5-2 win at Western Carolina this past Sunday, lost at Georgia Southern, 5-2 in last year’s meeting.

Head Coach Jeff Clark is expected to utilize his familiar lineup of seniors Lindsey Ballard and Bonnie Adams, junior Beata Knizat, sophomore Kate Ksiezopolski and freshmen Annie Green, Grace Robinette and Arianna Sanjines.

The Eagles bring in nearly identical records of 9-10 and 2-6 to Saturday’s match.  GSU has lost two straight outings to SoCon members Elon and the College of Charleston.

Georgia Southern’s last win came last Sunday, a 7-0 shutout at Winston-Salem State.  Its last SoCon victory was on March 17, a 5-2 win at Appalachian State.
