The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team steps out of conference play for a visit to Lipscomb this week.  The Lady Mocs will face the Bison at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m. (E.S.T.).

Chattanooga is riding a three-match winning streak and is 5-4 overall.  It is the Lady Mocs' best start through nine matches since the 1999 season.  UTC is also in fourth place in the Southern Conference with a 2-1 record in league play.

The Lady Mocs are led by sophomore Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.), the 2010 SoCon Freshman of the Year.  She has won three straight singles matches at No. 1 and is 5-4 in spring action at the top spot.  She is also one of three Lady Mocs in double-figures with a 10-9 record on the year.

Freshman Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) leads the team with a 12-5 overall singles record.  She is 2-2 since moving up to No. 2 in the lineup.  Junior Emily Hangstefer (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) is on a two-match winning streak for the first time this spring.  She is 7-11 overall and 2-2 since being penciled in at No. 3.

Junior Shaina Singh (Vancouver, B.C.) is the third Lady Moc with 10 wins.  She has won three in a row at No. 4 to improve to 10-9 on the season.  She is 5-4 in spring action, all coming at No. 4.

Junior Charlotte Bossy (Koekelare, Belgium) has won two-straight, and is 4-4 in spring action.  She is 3-1 at No. 5 and 1-3 in the sixth position.  Senior Annie Green (Alpharetta, Ga.) has also won two-straight.  She is 6-4 on the year and 2-1 since entering the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 this spring.

Nurik and Singh make up UTC's top doubles team.  They have won three straight matches and are 6-3 in the spring, 11-5 overall.  Hangstefer and Flynn are 5-4 in dual action, having won two in a row.

Lipscomb has a 2-6 record, with both wins coming in its last four outings.  They defeated Western Kentucky (5-2) on Feb. 12 and Mercer (4-3) on March 4.  They fell to Kennesaw State (7-0) in their last outing on March 6.
