The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team came within a point if its fourth-straight win before the rain poured on its match at Lipscomb today.  UTC was up 3-0 when action was called at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The day started with singles matches in an effort to get in an official match ahead of the expected bad weather.  Senior Annie Green (Alpharetta, Ga.), junior Shaina Singh (Vancouver, B.C.) and freshman Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) had all won their singles matches when action was called.

Sophomore Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.) was up 30-0 in the clinching game of her match at No. 1 when the skies opened.  ITA rules state that a postponed match must be finished within 48 hours, but travel and class schedules will prevent the Lady Mocs from closing out the win.  Therefore, no results will be recorded.

Chattanooga will be back on the road on Wednesday, March 16, when they travel to Deland, Fla., to take on Stetson.
