The Lady Mocs will send eight players to the ITA Regionals. Senior Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.), junior Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) and sophomore Kaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) are all in the singles main draw.
Nurik will take the court on Friday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. (E.D.T.) against Purdue's Krisztina Kapitany. Flynn faces Memphis's Caroline Wegner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chadwell's first match is also Friday at 7:45 p.m. against 13th-seeded Nadia Ravita of Kentucky.
Nurik and Chadwell, currently ranked No. 58 in the nation according to the ITA, will compete in the doubles main draw. They will face Louisville's Mandy Brown and Stefanie Villajuan on Friday at 8:45 a.m. Sophomore Claire Mulyadi (Semarang, Indonesia) and freshman Kayla Jones (Memphis, Tenn.) are also in the main draw doubles. They are matched against the top-seeded duo of Brynn Boren and Kata Szekely from Tennessee in a 10:30 a.m. match.
Thursday's qualifying singles include Jones, Mulyadi and freshmen Kelsey Coots (Huntsville, Ala.) and Jovana Pecovski (Apitan, Serbia). Jones faces Miami's (Ohio) Ramona Costa at 12:15 while Pecovski is taking on Eastern Kentucky's Marcela Jimenez at 12:30 p.m. Mulyadi will go against the No. 3 seed Ashleigh White of Cincinnati at 2:30 p.m. while Coots faces Butler's Konstantina Adami at 3:15 p.m.
Flynn and Pecovski will team up in the qualifying doubles and face Louisville's Valentia Schneider and Alex Tachovsky at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Coots and fellow freshman Katie Polk (Woodstock, Ga.) are the other UTC team in Thursday's qualifiers. They face Xavier's Daniella Patton and Andrea Wolf at 8:00 a.m.
