The doubles point came down to the wire with the Wildcats gaining the advantage with a win at the No. 3 position.
At the No. 3 spot, Annie Green and Shaina Singh fell 9-7 after leading throughout to the Wildcats’ Ali Gores and Molly McDevitt to give Davidson a 1-0 lead.
The two teams split the singles matches. Emily Hangstefer got the first point for the Lady Mocs with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3. The Wildcats would win the next three matches to clinch the win with
Annie Green won 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 at No. 5 followed by Charlotte Bossy’s victory over Ali Gores 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 at No. 4.
The match was moved to Hixson this afternoon and delayed until 2:30 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather in the area.
