Taylor Wittmer enters her second season with the Chattanooga volleyball team. She comes to the Scenic City after completing her student-athlete career at Indiana University.
Wittmer assisted in travel, video and film breakdown last season as well as working specifically with Mocs' middle blockers. The Hoosier also coordinated the team's monthly newsletter and assisted in planning community service events.
Wittmer helped lead Indiana to the program's first NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2010 as a middle blocker and right side hitter. She played in 128 matches during her four years at Indiana, while registering 1.67 kills and 0.92 blocks per set.
She was honored with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award during the 2010 season voted upon by the league's coaches. Wittmer was acknowledged with the Coaches' Award in 2007 and the Player's Inspiration Award in 2009 by the Indiana volleyball program.
The Loogootee, Ind., native received three Academic All-Big Ten selections and earned her degree in exercise science in May 2011.
Wittmer is currently working towards her master's degree in Research Psychology from UTC and resides in Chattanooga, Tenn.
