Barnes Tabbed Student-Athlete of the Week

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Chattanooga volleyball player Courtney Barnes was named the Southern Conference’s Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Barnes, a sophomore, sports a 4.0 GPA in Movement Science. Last week, she helped lead the Mocs to a pair of SoCon victories over UNC Greensboro and Elon.
In the 3-0 sweep over the Phoenix, Barnes had 14 kills, no errors and .636 hitting percentage. For the week, she had 21 kills and eight blocks.
Barnes currently leads the Lady Mocs in kills per set (2.51), hitting percentage (.300), and blocks per set (0.80).
