Lady Mocs Drop 3-1 Decision to Spartans
GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The Chattanooga volleyball team lost a tough contest to the UNC Greensboro Spartans 3-1 Friday night in a battle for the No. 2 seed in next week’s Southern Conference Tournament.

The Spartans (21-9, 13-4 SoCon) were able to salvage a split of the regular season series with UTC (17-14, 12-5 SoCon) by taking the match 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, and 25-16.

The loss to UNCG slides Chattanooga down to the No. 3 seed at the moment, but UTC can regain the No. 2 spot by beating Elon on Saturday, coupled with a Greensboro loss to North Division leading Samford.

In the loss, Aurore Kullak led the Lady Mocs in kills with 10 and had 10 digs as the sophomore posted her third double-double in five November games.

Jessica Scott and Ashley Yeager were also key contributors on the evening with nine and eight kills, respectively.

Setter Michaela Huff was a bright spot in the match for UTC as the senior recorded six kill on just 13 attempts for a .385 hitting percentage. She also posted her third double-double of the season with 25 assists and 13 digs.

In the match, both squads split the first two sets to a 1-1 tie after each claimed 25-21 wins.

A tightly fought third set, won by Greensboro 25-22, proved to be the key set it in the match as the Spartans took the 2-1 and went on to win the match by taking the following set 25-16.
