"We help out at the Ronald McDonald House on a bi-weekly basis," stated head coach Travis Filar. "Today we are cooking a meal and doing some behind-the-scenes work. We want to make sure the people and families here feel taken care of."
TheMocs helped make dinner for as many as 50 people through the RMH's Adopt-A-Meal Program. For more information on volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, click here.
"Assistant coach Taylor Wittmer has done a phenomenal job of organizing many different options for our student-athletes," stated Filar. "We have a work group that comes here and we have a group that has been going to the Chattanooga Food Bank biweekly.
"Just being involved, having our kids understand the position that they are in as student-athletes and the opportunities they have to give back to the community are all important. We are trying to make our family stronger, and part of that process is giving our time to those who need our help in any way."
