THIRD LINEUP IN THREE STARTS
Chattanooga is starting its third different lineup to start the season. Davis Bunn and Ewan Scott are the only Mocs to start all three events. Chris Robb, Wes Gosselin and Stuart Thomas are making their second appearances.
SEASON HIGH FOR PARS
The counters today posted a season-best 47 pars. It topped the 45 scored in the first round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge.
BIRDIES SCARCE IN ROUND ONE
Eight birdies on the counting cards today equals the season low from the opening round of the Golfweek event, as did the three others – all double bogeys.
SCOTT CONSISTENT IN LOW ROUND OF THE FALL
Freshman Ewan Scott carded his best round of his brief career with a one-over 73. He had one birdie and 15 pars offset by two bogeys.
JOHNSTON IS FIRST INDIVIDUAL OF 2013-14
Junior Liam Johnston is playing as an individual this weekend. He is the first UTC golfer to do so this season. He opened with a two-under par 70. Johnston now averages 72.8 strokes per round on the Brickyard at Riverside tract.
STRONG FINISH FOR WES GOSSELIN
Gosselin stood on the tee at 17 at +6 and in need of a strong finish. He got it with back-to-back birdies to close his day with a 76. His three birdies match his season-high from final round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate.
