TEAM
- The Mocs dropped a 69-68 SoCon road game at Western Carolina tonight...UTC falls to 14-12, 10-4 in league action...Western Improves to 12-13, 8-5 in the SoCon...UTC still holds a 1.5-game lead in the SoCon North standings. 

- The Mocs have four players who were just cleared to play after sitting out of practice this week with the flu, including Keegan Bell, Omar Wattad, Jeremy Saffore and Jeff Smith

- Chattanooga is 10-4 in league play, 7-0 at home and 3-4 on the road. Chattanooga is 7-1 against North Division opponents, 3-3 vs. the South.

- The Mocs are 5-8 on the road this season. That record is 3-4 in league games and 2-4 out of conference.

- This is the 68th meeting between the two schools with UTC leading 50-18...this is the fourth-straight loss and five of the last six in Cullowhee. 

- Chattanooga seems to prefer playing close games. The Mocs are 3-1 in one-point games and 5-2 in games decided by three points or less. When the final margin is nine points or less, UTC is 11-4.

- Chattanooga is 639-387 (.623) since moving to Division I (1977-78), 168-231 (.421) on the road. In its 34th SoCon season, the Mocs are 345-188 (.648), 135-133 (.505) away.

- Chattanooga is 11-1 when holding opponents under 70 points, 3-10 otherwise.

- The Mocs have won the battle of the boards in 16 of the last 20 games, including a 40-31 advantage over WCU tonight. That's after starting the season turning the trick just once in the first six. In league play, only Wofford and Davidson have out-boarded UTC. Georgia Southern was a draw with 23 apiece.

Junior Keegan Bell

- Had been out of practice with the flu all week. 

Junior Jahmal Burroughs
- 10 points on 2-4 shooting, 1-2 from 3-pt. range and 5-6 from the FT line.
- Second game in double-figures. 
- Most points against a Division I opponent.
- First career start.
- Career-high in FTs made...tied in attempts.

Senior Troy Cage
- Game-high 11 boards.
- Second career start.
- Most boards since getting 12 at BYU (2/16/08) when he was at UNLV.
- Added eight points on 3-9 shooting, 1-5 from 3-pt range and 1-2 from the FT line.
- Career-high 29 minutes.

Sophomore Dontay Hampton
- 2nd career start...also started vs. UNCG on 1/27/11.
- Nine points on 4-9 shooting, 1-2 from the FT line.
- Most points against a Division I opponent. 
- Career-high 32 minutes.
- Tied a career-high with five assists.
- Added four boards.

Junior DeAntre Jefferson
- 13 points on 6-8 shooting, 102 from the FT line.
- Added eight boards in 22 minutes. 

Junior Omar Wattad
- Nine points on 3-7 shooting, 1-4 from 3-pt. range and 2-3 from the FT line. 
- Played just 12 minutes after being out with the flu.
