The emotional leader of the squad, Burroughs played in 29 games in 2011-12 with 17 starts. His statistics don't speak the volumes his play did on the floor.
He saved his best for last scoring a career-high 19 points keying the senior night win over Samford. Burroughs made all eight shots he took from the floor and also set a new career mark with three steals. The 8-8 performance from the field ties for the fourth-best shooting performance in Chattanooga's DI history.
Burroughs followed that with a monster game in the first round of the Southern Conference tournament. He had 15 points and a career-best 13 boards, six coming on the offensive end.
The Psychology major is an inspiration on and off the court. He and his family are natives of New Orleans. Their Katrina story is chronicled on a number of outlets, three of which are linked below.
Next up is senior Omar Wattad.
