NEXT UP

MR. 1,000
Congratulation once again to "Voice of the Mocs" Jim Reynolds for calling 1,000 Chattanooga basketball games. His first was November 29, 1980, an 82-53 win over Maryville. UTC won its first of 18 regular-season titles that season. A coincidence? We think not. The school has won more than 600 games since Reynolds took over as "Voice of the Mocs" in 1980. He's in his 33rd season and was recognized during Thursday's game with UNCG.

OPENING TIPS
- Saturday is the final home game for three Chattanooga student-athletes and a trio of long-time student managers. Along with Dontay Hampton and Drazen Zlovaric, the school also bids farewell to redshirt junior Drew Baker who is completing his degree and hanging up the laces. Student managers Jared Hawkins, Brian Murphy and Brett Stuart will be honored as well for their contributions to the program.

He coached collegiately at four institutions (Birmingham Southern, Western Kentucky and Stetson) amassing a 420-229 mark in 22 seasons.
