The Mocs return home on Tuesday, December 10, to host Hiwassee at 7 p.m. We close out the pre-holiday portion of the schedule on the road at Northern Kentucky (12/15) and UAB (12/18).

- Final game of five in a row away from home. First four came on the western swing for Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational.

- Georgia leads the series 26-5. The Mocs are 2-3 against the Bulldogs since the move to DI for the 1977-78 season. The last meeting started Chattanooga’s run to the 1997 NCAA Sweet 16 winning 73-70 in Charlotte on March 14.

- First trip to Athens, Ga., since 1949-50 season. The five meetings in the DI era...three have been played in Chattanooga and the other two at neutral sites. More series notes are on page 3.

- Chattanooga leads the SoCon in three categories: scoring (85.2), steals (10.0) and turnover margin (+3.0). Stats are through 11/30.

- It is not a shock the Mocs lead the league in steals and turnover margin. The full-court press CHAOS system is designed for it. The squad is tied for 14th nationally in steals.

- The team also ranks in the top 50 in the country in turnover margin (25th), scoring (36th) and blocks (47th). Stats through 11/24.

- Four Mocs rank in the top eight individually in steals:  Greg Pryor (2, 2.1), Gee McGhee (5, 1.6),  Casey Jones (T7, 1.4) and Lance Stokes (T7, 1.4).

- Z. Mason is averaging 22.3 points and 6.0 boards per game over past four contests shooting 59.0 percent (36-61) from the field including 38.1 percent (8-21) from 3pt range.

- Mason leads the SoCon in blocks (1.8/gm). He is in the top 10 in a few categories: scoring (17.6), rebounding (6, 7.1) and FG% (5, 56.3).

- Mason earned Las Vegas Invitational All-Tourney honors. He enjoyed the Orleans Arena averaging 25 points and 7.5 rebounds per game shooting 71.4 percent (20-28) from the field including 66.7 percent (6-9) from 3pt range.

- McGhee is 12th in the SoCon in scoring (14.9 ppg). He also ranks 13th in FG percentage (49.3), tied for 11th in assists (3.1) and tied for sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.8) along with steals.

- McGhee led the Mocs in scoring in the first four games and has scored in double digits in seven of eight. He is shooting 58.2 percent (32-55) on shots INSIDE 3pt range.

- Pryor has proven to be much better than your average freshman, exceptional really considering he plays the one. He is 20th in the league in scoring (11.6), 10th in assists (3.3), tied for eighth in FT percentage (85.3) and 11th with assist/turnover ratio (1.2) to go with the steals mentioned prior.

- He is top 100 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (91st), FT percentage (92nd) and steals (93rd) in latest NCAA stats (11/25).

- Jones is 10th in the SoCon in rebounding (5.8) after tying his career high with nine vs. IUPUI. He is also  29th in scoring (10.3), sixth in FG% (54.8) and tied for seventh in blocks (1.0) along with steals.

- Alex Bran is 13th (44.0%) in 3pt percentage, while Martynas Bareika is 14th (41.9%). Bareika is tied for 14th in 3pt per game (1.6).

- T.J. Williams is tied for 11th in the SoCon in blocks (0.8).

- Head Coach Will Wade is 3-5 in his first season as a head coach. He is Chattanooga’s 18th head coach, seventh of the DI era.

- Wade is 2-1 at home, 0-3 away and 1-1 in neutral site contests.

- He is 0-0 vs. Georgia, 0-0 vs. SEC teams.

- Wade is a 2005 graduate of Clemson. He has worked with current collegiate head coaches Larry Shyatt (Wyoming), Oliver Purnell (DePaul), Tommy Amaker (Harvard) and Shaka Smart (VCU) at Clemson, Harvard and VCU, respectively.

- Wade’s staff includes a former head coach, Wes Long (Queens, 2009-13), former Mocs standout Casey Long (2004-07) and Buffalo star Turner Battle. Casey Long was retained from the previous regime. He also welcomed back Mocs great Johnny Taylor (1996-97). Taylor, a Chattanooga native, led Chattanooga to the 1997 NCAA Sweet 16 before becoming the school’s first NBA first round draft selection (Orlando). Taylor completed a 15-year pro career and returned to the Scenic City to complete his degree in criminal justice.

- Georgia is 2-4, 2-1 in Stegeman Coliseum.

- The Bulldogs are 2-1 vs. SoCon squads topping Wofford (72-52) and Appalachian State (71-53), while losing to Davidson (94-82). The other three losses are to Georgia Tech (80-71), Temple (83-81) and Nebraska (73-65).

- UGA Head Coach Mark Fox is in his fifth year with a record of 67-67. He is 190-10 in 10 seasons as a head coach including five campaigns at Nevada (123-43).

- Charles Mann leads Georgia averaging 16.3 points and 3.0 assists per game. Kenny Gaines (13.0) and Nemanja Djurisic (11.2) also average double-digit scoring.
