The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s basketball team capped a roller-coaster season with the team’s banquet. The Mocs celebrated their 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament with over 100 fans in attendance tonight.
UTC rebounded from a 1-7 start and 0-3 in SoCon play to win its 10th SoCon Tournament title in school history. The Mocs posted an 18-17 mark overall and won the SoCon North Division with an 11-9 record in league play.
UTC had two of its six seniors earn spots on the All-SoCon team, including Stephen McDowell and Nicchaeus Doaks. The pair was joined by fellow senior Kevin Goffney on the SoCon All-Tournament team with McDowell named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
