The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Atomic Films recently scored a pair of ADDY Awards for the 2009-10 men's basketball introduction video. The local ADDY Awards are presented annually by Chattanooga's American Advertising Federation.
The Mocs' intro was seen on the video boards prior to each men's basketball home game last season in McKenzie Arena. Fans can also check out the embedded video below.
"Atomic Films is one of the many award-winning local companies we enjoy great partnerships with," stated Director of Athletics Rick Hart. "I received numerous comments from fans at our home basketball games on the quality of our intro videos and the enhancement they provide to the fan experience in McKenzie Arena."
UTC and Atomic Films scored a Gold Award in the Audio/Video Sales Presentation category. The intro video also grabbed a Silver Award in the Animation or Special Effects category. Credit for the video goes to UTC's Director of Creative Services Owen Seaton, Atomic Film's Suzanne Hemphill and UTC's Leah Gill.
"We really wanted to identify our team with the city of Chattanooga and bring the energy to a crescendo at the McKenzie Arena," continued Hart. "Atomic Films did a wonderful job of capturing that vision in a way that really amps up the crowd at the start of our games."
Nationally, the ADDY Awards receive over 60,000 entries annually and is the world largest creative competition. All of the Gold Award winners will now move on to regional competition. For more information on the ADDY Awards, visit www.aafchattanooga.com.
