CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will host College of Charleston and first-year head coach Natasha Adair Monday night at the McKenzie Arena. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m.

Chattanooga soundly defeated Georgia Southern in its first home game in a month by a 75-43 margin and improved to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in league play, tied for second behind league-leading Davidson (4-0). The Lady Mocs' lone league loss was an overtime fall at Elon last week. UTC averages 70.9 points per game, second-best in the SoCon, and gives up 55.9 ppg to its opponents with a scoring margin of 15 points per game, second best in the league. From the field, the Lady Mocs are shooting 41.5 percent and 29.9 percent from beyond the arc. UTC's free throw shooting is still struggling, falling to 64.2 percent on the year. On the boards, the Lady Mocs are second in the SoCon behind College of Charleston with 41.7 rebounds per game and third in opposing rebounds giving up just 38.6 per game. Chattanooga averages 15.6 assists per game and is first in the league in turnover margin (5.29) and assist-turnover ratio (1.1) and third for steals with 10.6 per game.

Junior Ashlen Dewart (Spartanburg, S.C.) played just 15 minutes in the Lady Mocs' win over Georgia Southern and had 14 points against the Eagles. She ranks second in the league in scoring with 16.1 points per game and is 10th for rebounding with 6.4 per game. She is tops in the SoCon for field goal percentage making 52.8 percent of her attempts this season. Senior Kayla Christopher is second on the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game. She is fifth in field goal percentage making 46.9 percent of her attempts and is third in the league with 32 3-pointers and shoots 42.7 percent from beyond the arc. She leads the team in assists with 38.Senior Kylie Lambert (Etowah, Tenn.) pulled down 10 rebounds against the Eagles and leads the team with 6.5 per game and 1.9 steals per game. Junior Taylor Hall (New Tazewell, Tenn.) is third on the team in scoring with 9.5 points per game after leading UTC in the win Saturday with a game-high 16 points and seven rebounds. She is third on the team in rebounding with 5.9 boards per game and has a team-high 1.9 steals per game.

After winning each of its first three Southern Conference matchups, the Cougars have stumbled against its last two with losses to league-leading Davidson (65-57) at home and at Samford (56-47). The College of Charleston is fourth in the SoCon for scoring with 59.7 points per game but seventh in scoring defense giving up 62.0 points per game. The Cougars are shooting 33.9 percent from the field. 30.6 percent from the 3-point line and last in the SoCon from the free throw line making 55.9 percent of their attempts. On the boards, CofC leads the league with 45.6 boards per game but give up 44.2 to its opponents. The Cougars dish out 13.2 assists and have a 0.7 assist-turnover ratio and boast a 0.86 turnover margin. CofC is third in the league for blocked shots with 4.1 per game and fifth in the SoCon standings for steals with 10.1 per game.

Latisha Harris leads the Cougars with 14.3 points per game and is fourth in the league in rebounding with 8.9 boards per game. She shoots 42.2 percent from the field and has 1.3 blocked shots per game. Alyssa Frye is second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points per game and fourth in the SoCon for 3-point field goal shooting at 39.0 percent. She has a league-high 2.8 3-pointers per game and averages 33.9 minutes per game. Cathryn Hardy ranks 27th in the SoCon for scoring with 7.7 points per game and is seventh in the league standings for rebounding with 7.1 per game. She averages 2.1 steals per game. Jill Brown leads the conference in minutes played at 36.4 minutes per game and has a SoCon-best 6.9 assists per game while leading her eam with 2.4 steals per game.

SERIES HISTORY
Chattanooga is 26-8 against the Cougars since the two teams first met in 1977. After putting together a 17-game win streak against College of Charleston from Feb. 2, 2002 until Feb. 9. 2009, Chattanooga has won each of the last three meetings including last season's 57-31 win over the Cougars at the Roundhouse.
