CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs basketball team is in high gear preparing for the start of the 2013-14 season. Here are some notes as we await the opening tip in McKenzie Arena on Friday, November 8.
TEAM-BUILDING “SEAL” OF APPROVAL
Volumes have been written about the importance of team building. Corporations work hard to implement the type of teamwork seen on athletic courts and fields.
Collegiate athletics teaches that very foundation. It is not taken for granted, however. The best teams are just that, TEAMS.
With the in mind, the Chattanooga Mocs gathered together to better learn the foundation of team work from a person whose very life depends on their team. The Mocs’ athletics performance guru Greg Goldin located the perfect person to share the tenets of team building…a U.S. Navy Seal.
Student-athletes, coaches and staff gathered together for a three-day period in the pre-dawn hours for their lessons. Click here for video highlighting what was taught, learned and accomplished.

The campus kicks off “Beat Week” on Tuesday, November 5, with a Pool Party Pep Rally. Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be a wealth of activities at the fabulous Aquatic and Recreation Center across the street from McKenzie Arena.
There are three options to pre-purchase tickets for one or more games as the season approaches. Season tickets as well as a flex plan are available along with the single-game option.
Season tickets went on sale a few weeks ago. They can be purchased for as little as $125. Purchase here.
The Chattanooga Basketball Flex Plan is $99. Fans get 12 vouchers good for any home game this season. Since it is a voucher, it is exchanged at the box office for a valid game ticket meaning the owner gets to sit in any available regular reserved seat in the arena that evening. The vouchers can be used for men’s or women’s games in any combination. The owner can get 12 tickets for one game or go to 12 separate nights or any combination of dates that add up to using the 12 vouchers. It is subject to availability in the regular reserved sections. Purchase here.
