TEAM
- The Chattanooga Mocs clinched the Southern Conference regular season title with a 71-54 win at Furman today.  UTC improves to 22-3 overall and 14-0 in league action.  Furman drops to 13-11 and 7-6 in league play. 

- The is the 18th time the Mocs have won or shared the Southern Conference Regular Season title. 

- UTC has won 18-straight games, fourth-longest active run in the nation.

- Chattanooga has also won 10 consecutive road games, second best in the NCAA. 

- UTC has won five straight and 26 of the last 27 against Furman. 

- Furman came into the game 8-1 at home and 5-0 in Timmons Arena in SoCon action. 

- The Mocs have won 30 straight SoCon games…last loss was a 70-60 overtime defeat at Elon on Jan. 7, 2013.

- Head coach Jim Foster won his 805th game today…11th women’s coach in the NCAA to reach that mark.  His 36-year mark stands at 805-310.  The 2013 Hall of Fame inductee is the only coach in NCAA Division I history - men or women - to lead three different teams to at least 200 wins (St. Joseph’s: 248, Vanderbilt: 256, Ohio State: 279). This marked his 27th season with 20 or more wins, tied for seventh most in Division I.

- The Mocs have won eight straight SoCon games by 10+ points…longest such run since the 2007-08 season when they won 17-straight league games by double-digits.

-It was a four-point game with 6:05 left to play when Furman’s Sarah Durdaller hit two free throws to close the Mocs lead to 58-54.  Those were the last points for the Paladins as UTC ended the game on a 13-0 run.  Furman did not have any points from the field in the lasdt 7:27 of the game. 

- This game featured five ties and 15 lead changes.

- Mocs tied a season-low with six turnovers in the game…fewest in SoCon play this season. Mocs came into the game No. 22 in the nation for fewest miscues at 13.0 per game. 

- Chattanooga outrebounded its opponent for the eighth straight game (38-30).  UTC is 16-0 when outrebounding its opponent. 

- Furman blocked five shots in the game…second-most against the Mocs this season (6 vs. UAB) and most in SoCon play.

- Chattanooga improved to 13-0 when scoring 70+ points in a game. 

INDIVIDUAL
Alex Black – Sr.-G

- 11 points on 3-4 shooting, 5-6 from the FT line.
- Second-straight game in double-figures…seventh this season.
- 12-13 from the FT line over the last seven games.

Ashlen Dewart – Sr.-F
- 12 points on 5-10 shooting, 2-3 from the FT line.
- Tied for game-high with eight boards.

Taylor Hall – Sr.-F
- Game-high 19 points on 7-17 shooting, 2-5 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line.
- Tied for game-high with eight boards.
- Added three assists and three steals in 39 minutes.
- Seven straight game in double-figures.

Tatianna Jackson – So.-G
- Seven boards in 19 minutes off the bench…season-high.
- Added four points.
- Tied season-highs with three assists and three steals.
- Most minutes since playing 23 against Davidson on Jan. 6. 

Jasmine Joyner – Fr.-F
- Career-high 11 points on 4-7 shooting, 3-3 from the FT line.
- Added five boards and four blocks. 
- Has 30 blocks in just 149 minutes. 
- 18 blocks in last five games (3.6 bpg).
