SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA (14-13, 11-7 SoCon)

The Lady Mocs defeated UNCG and Samford edged Elon to move the Lady Mocs into a tie with the Phoenix for third place in the Southern Conference standings. Chattanooga is closing out the season strong with a 6-2 mark over the last eight games. The Lady Mocs are averaging 66.9 points per game just edging opponents by 0.1 points per game. From beyond the arc, UTC is second in the SoCon with 7.9 per game and lead the league with a 1.1 assist-turnover ratio. Whitney Hood, with 19.8 points per game, leads the SoCon and is second in field goal percentage amking 54.3 percent of her attempts. Kaly Christopher is second on the team in scoring with 11.4 ppg and has 3.3 assists per game. She leads UTC with 56 3-pointers and is fifth in the SoCon with a 42.1 percent effort from beyond the arc. Tenisha Townsend, third in the SoCon in assists (4.0/game) and assist-TO ratio (1.8) and is third on the team in scoring (9.0). Bailey Dewart ranks third on the team in rebounding with 5.5/game while Kylie Lambert is fourth on the team in scoring with 8.4 ppg and second with 6.1 boards per game.

SCOUTING ELON (17-10, 11-7 SoCon)

The Phoenix fell by three to Samford at home and are 2-4 over the last six games falling to Davidson, Ga. Southern, UNCG and the Bulldogs. Elon is second in the SoCon in scoring with 68.6 points per game with a scoring margin of 4.5 ppg. The Phoeix are third in the league off the boards with 40.6 per game and have a scoring margin of 1.3 over their opponents. Elon leads the SoCon with 5.5 blocked shots per game and are third in steals with 9.5/game. Ali Ford is second in the SoCon in scoring with 17.0 ppg and Kelsey Evans has 11.7 ppg and leads the league in rebounding with nine/game. Evans is second in the SoCon in blocked shots averaging 2.2 per game and Ford leads the team in steals with 1.9/game. From beyond the arc, the Phoenix average just 4.3 made shots per game led by Ford's 73 (2.7/game). Lei Lei Hairston and Evans lead Elon on the offensive boards with 2.2 and 2.1 respectively while Evans has a league-high 6.8/game on the defensive glass.

SERIES HISTORY

Tonight will be the 17th meeting between UTC and Elon with the Lady Mocs holding a 14-2 advantage over the Phoenix. However, Elon has won two of the last three meetings including a 74-61 Snow Day win at the Roundhouse earlier this year. Chattanooga is 6-1 against the Phoenix on the road after last year's loss at Alumni Gym. The winner of tonight's game will have sole possession of third place in the league standings and just one weekend of play remaining.
