Following a brilliant collegiate career at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 2010 graduate Jenaya Wade-Fray (St. George's, Bermuda/Madison, Ala.) was named the Bermuda Female Athlete of the Year.

Wade-Fray beat out former winners Flora Duffy and Kiera Aitken for the honor after becoming the Bermudian women's basketball player to represent Great Britain in the hunt for this year's Eurobasket Champoinships in Poland.

Her career at Chattanooga also figured in greatly to her receiving the award as she helped lead the Lady Mocs to an 11th consecutive Southern Conference title. UTC went on to win the SoCon tournament crown and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in 10 years.

Wade-Fray was an all-conference and all-tournament player for the Lady Mocs last season and concluded her career at UTC having played 131 games, more than any other Chattanooga player in history. She ranked third all-time at UTC and in the SoCon for 3-pointers made in her career with 214, 10th for assists with 280 and became the 24th member of the Lady Mocs' 1,000-point club.

Rising track star Tyrone Smith was named the Male Athlete of the Year. He became only the second Bermudian to claim a gold medal at the CAC Games by winning the men's long jump in Puerto Rico last year.
