ASHEVILLE, N.C. --- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sophomore forward Taylor Hall (New Tazewell, Tenn.) was selected to the Southern Conference All-Tournament Second Team.
Hall led the Lady Mocs with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, in Chattanooga's quarterfinal win over sixth-seeded Furman Saturday night at the Kimmel Center on the campus of UNC Asheville. She followed that with a 14-point performance against Appalachian State Sunday afternoon, adding 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the year. Of her 16 rebounds, 10 were off the offensive glass.
She was 9-of-29 from the field and shot 42.9 percent (6-14) from beyond the arc. She was 6-of-7 (85.7%) from the free throw line and averaged 15 points and eight rebounds over the two days. Hall played all 40 minutes against the Mountaineers and 29 against Furman.
Hall closed out the year third on the team in scoring with 9.2 points per game and led the team in rebounding with 8.6 (268) per game. She averaged 2.6 offensive boards and 6.1 on the defensive end. She recorded a team-high 24 blocked shots this season and was second on the team with 29 steals.
Hall was selected to the league's all-conference team by the Southern Conference Coaches and this is her first all-tournament selection.
