The Chattanooga women's basketball team put together an outstanding season that culminated in Lexington, Ky., in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UTC drew an 11 seed and took on 6-seed Syracuse of the Atlantic Coast Conference at Memorial Coliseum.

The team departed their home, McKenzie Arena, on Thursday afternoon and bussed it up to Lexington. The trip took about 4-and-a-half hours and arrived at their hotel, the DoubleTree, to unpack and relax.

Friday was full of practices, press conferences and naps. The closed morning practice was held at Transylvania University. Much later in the day, the Mocs arrived at Memorial Coliseum, the site of the First Round, for a press conference.

Several members of the media, some from the Scenic City, were on hand to ask questions of head coach Jim Foster and seniors Taylor Hall and Alex Black.

Following the presser, the team held practice on the court to prepare for Saturday afternoon's game against the Orange.

After a tight defensive battle in which neither team shot well, UTC's season ended, snapping a 25-game win streak - third longest in school history. The Mocs ended the year at 29-4 and closed the door on the collegiate careers of five seniors - Black, Hall, Faith Dupree, Ashlen Dewart and Meghan Downes.
