
Scheduled to compete in the event this season are Austin Peay, Covenant College, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State and UT-Martin. Alabama A&M will send its women's team while Tennessee Temple will field a men's team for the meet.
The Mocs return Mark Cole (McKenzie, Tenn.) Nathan Wanuch (Mississauga, Ontario), Drew Austell (Memphis, Tenn.), John Gilpin (Nashville, Tenn.) and Patrick O'Brien (Chattanooga, Tenn). Newcomers Paul Stuart (Brentwood, Tenn.) and Trevor Janssen (Jordan Station, Ontario) will round out the squad.
The Lady Mocs will see Amanda Sumner (Bristol, Conn.) run for the first time since 2009. She will be joined by veterans Kathryn Stuart (Brentwood, Tenn.), Keeley Stewart (Winchester, Tenn.), Mary Cumbee (Brentwood, Tenn.), Gabby Cader (Cleveland, Tenn.) and Ambria Reese (Memphis, Tenn.).
The meet begins Friday at 5:45 p.m. with the women's two-mile race followed by the men's 5K. The PowerAde Invitational is the annual opener for the teams. The Mocs were picked to finish fifth while the women's team is slated to place ninth by the league coaches.
