Wanuch Selected SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Nathan Wanuch added to his awards collection this week with his second SoCon honor. The Mississauga, Ontario senior was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 12.

Wanuch and Secondary English major carries a 3.632 GPA. He led the Mocs to a second place finish last Friday evening at UTC's season-opening PowerAde Invitational by claiming the individual title. In the third mile, Wanuch outpaced his nearest competitors to go on to a near-17-second victory with a time of 15:31.72.

Other nominees included Appalachian State men's soccer player Kristian Lee-Him, College of Charleston men's cross country runner Mackenzie Johnston, and The Citadel football player Thomas Warren.
