Cross Country to Compete at Commodore Classic
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's and women's cross country teams will head to Nashville for the Commodore Classic hosted by Vanderbilt at Nashville's Percy Warner Park Saturday.

The field set for the Commodore Classic is the largest and deepest in the history of the race with several SEC teams competing in order to preview the course for the SEC Championships held later this year. There will be two races per gender dividing the schools by Division I and non-Division I schools. Chattanooga's men and women will compete in the Gold Division races.

The Men's 8K Gold race will be comprised of 24 teams and start at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The women's 6K Gold race will feature runners from 25 teams and is slated to start at 10:45 a.m. All Division I overflow and unattached runners will run in the Black race which begins with the men's 8K at 11:30 followed by the women's 6K at 12:15 p.m.

The Mocs, led by senior Nathan Wanuch (Mississauga, Ontario) finished second in the season-opening PowerAde Invitational last weekend. The Lady Mocs swept the top the spots in the women's race and claimed the title with sophomore Amanda Sumner (Bristol, Conn.) leading the way.
