Fans of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team have one of the most unique tailgating opportunities in the nation.  Adjacent to Finley Stadium is the First Tennessee Pavilion. The old Ross-Meehan Foundry has been renovated into an open-air pavilion which has become a favorite tailgating spot of Moc fans. 

The First Tennessee Pavilion provides a perfect location for fans to enjoy all the traditions of tailgating plus the added amenities provided by the UTC Athletics Department.  There is space available to tailgaters inside the First Tennessee Pavilion and information on reserving these spaces is available here.  However, most fans opt to park in the surrounding lots and stroll through the free activities located inside. 

Parking directly adjacent to the First Tennessee Pavilion is reserved for Mocs Club members at the Starter Moc ($250) level and above.  For information on joining the Mocs Club to get a parking pass at the Pavilion, contact Brandon Potts at (423) 425-4233 or email at Brandon-Potts@utc.edu.  There is VIP parking on the north side of the stadium and all other parking is $5.  Click here for a full parking map of Finley Stadium. 

The Scrappy's Kid Zone is located inside the Pavilion and has slides, bouncers and other inflatable rides for the younger Mocs fans.  The Fan Zone has bean-bag toss and ladderball games while the Prize Patrol always has free giveaways to Moc fans who visit their area.  Mocs Vision consists of big screen TV's where fans can watch a number of college football games while still enjoying the tailgating atmosphere.  Various food vendors are always in the First Tennessee Pavilion selling food and beverages.  There will also be video games and other attractions new in 2010, so be sure to stop by and check it out.   

The cheerleaders and Sugar Mocs are on hand to get the fans going for the traditional Moc Walk.  This occurs two and a half hours before kick-off when the team bus pulls into the back of the First Tennessee Pavilion parking lot.  The police escort announces the arrival of the UTC football players and coaches as they make their way through the Pavilion.  Fans line-up to form a human high-five path as the players head to Finley Stadium for their pregame warm-ups. 

Just before kick-off, the UTC Marching Band, Elite, Cheerleaders and Sugar Mocs all parade through the First Tennessee Pavilion and lead the Mocs fans to their seats in Finley Stadium.
