Selected to the 2011 Astor Trophy team for Australia...while playing the in the junior ranks in her home country, de Groot advanced to the Australian Amateur quarterfinals and was a member of the Australian School Girls Merit Team...finished Top 5 in Australian Stroke Play...also played soccer where she was a team captain as well as Player of the Year on her senior team which made it to the state finals...was Sports House Captain and Student Council Representative.
