C. J. Recher serves as Account Executive with Mocs Sports Properties (MSP), a property of Learfield Sports, and the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Chattanooga Mocs Athletics. His primary responsibilities include managing existing corporate partner relationships as well as securing new partners looking to achieve their marketing or community relations goals via a partnership with Chattanooga Mocs Athletics.
Prior to joining Learfield in 2011, Recher worked briefly as an Account Executive with the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club, the AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, focusing on corporate events. Before the Sounds, he worked in NASCAR as a Corporate Account Executive at Nashville Superspeedway focusing on ticket sales until Dover Motorsports restructured and closed the track in late 2010.
Before relocating to Nashville, Recher served as the Clubhouse Manager at Moccasin Bend Golf Club for 5 years focusing on customer relations and retention.
Recher, a UTC alum, was a walk-on member of the Mocs Cross Country and Track teams. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Business as well as a Master’s of Business Administration degree. While in graduate school, C. J. worked as a graduate assistant in the UTC Office of Business & Financial Affairs assisting with the management of the university’s grants.
Recher grew up in Knoxville, but is originally from the Chicago area. He and his wife Jennifer, also a UTC alum, were married in August of 2010.
