The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling team will hold its "Wrestle-4-Life" blood drive and clinic on Saturday, Sept. 15, in Maclellan Gym. The Mocs will provide a FREE two-hour clinic to any wrestler (5-18) who attends the Wrestle-4-Life blood drive with a potential blood donor.
The potential donor can be a parent, coach, sibling or any other person eligible to donate blood (age 17 or older). The clinic is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. (E.D.T.). Walk-ups are welcome, but those interested can also preregister here.
"We are always looking for ways to get more involved with not only the wrestling community, but the entire Chattanooga area," stated UTC head coach Heath Eslinger. "We are planning on a great turnout of parents who are going to donate blood and kids who are going to enjoy a fun morning or getting better on the mat."
All Blood Donations will be handled by Blood Assurance. Blood Assurance is a non-profit, full-service regional blood center serving more than 50 health care facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina. For more information on Blood Assurance visit www.BloodAssurance.org.
The Mocs are currently in the middle of preseason training. The 2012-13 schedule opens with the Blue & Gold Match on Saturday, Oct. 27. UTC's home slate has 10 dates, including the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2) and a visit from perennial powerhouse Iowa (Nov. 16).
