CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Former Chattanooga Mocs women's
golfer Christine Wolf (Igls, Austria) was a part of a lot of program firsts in
helping build the foundation as an inaugural team member. She has added another
this week winning her first pro event.
Wolf shot four-under par to win the Crete Ladies Open at
Crete Golf Club in Hersonissos, Greece on the island of Crete. The event is a
part of the LET Access Series, the feeder system to the Ladies European Tour.
It was a rain-shortened event in which Wolf and Chrisje
de Vries of the Netherlands each shot 67, four under. Wolf then claimed the
title on the first playoff hole. It is the first professional win by a Mocs
women's golf alum.
The Crete Ladies Open is the next-to-last event for the
season on the tour. The Banesto Tour Valencia closes out the schedule November
8-10 in Spain.
