CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga Mocs senior Steven Fox
(Chattanooga, Tenn.) opens play at the Western Refining College All-America
Golf Classic Monday and Tuesday, November 19-20. Fox faces 22 of the college
game's top players at El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas.
Fox gained entry in the event as United States Amateur
Champion. The remainder of the field includes first, second and third team
All-American from the 2011-12 season and the Division II Player of the Year.
The schedule includes 36 holes Monday on the Par 71, 6781-yard
tract. The final round Tuesday is at 8 a.m.
Fox is the second entry in the event for UTC. Jonathan
Hodge (2006-09) played in the 2008 tourney finishing 15th at plus two (215),
one shot ahead of current PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler then of Oklahoma State.
The Mocs are off until February when they open the spring
schedule at the Redstone Collegiate Challenge at Redstone Golf Club in Humble,
Texas. Redstone is home to the Shell Houston Open PGA Tour event.
