CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's and women's indoor track and field teams will head to Murfreesboro, Tenn., this weekend for the annual Blue Raider Invitational hosted by Middle Tennessee at the Murphy Center.
This will be the Mocs fourth event of the season and third in three weeks. The meet begins with field events in the morning and conclude with the 4x400 meter relays at 5:40 p.m. Eastern Time. Freshmen Matthew Marshall (Signal Mountain, Tenn.), Austin Ethridge (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) and Taylor Hawk (Dandridge, Tenn.) will kick off the track events with the Mile at 3:00 p.m.
The 400 meter dash will follow with freshman Kiaana Howard (Nashville, Tenn.), sophomore Jessica Philpott (Manchester, Tenn.) and junior Sarah Washington (Tullahoma, Tenn.) competing for the women and senior Blake Olsen (Pleasantview, Tenn.) running for the men. Freshman Iman Isang (Chattanooga, Tenn.) will run the 55 meter hurdles and classmate Geoff Nelson (Brentwood, Tenn.) will run the men's 200 meter dash.
Sophomore Patrick O'Brien (Chattanooga, Tenn.) along with junior John Gilpin (Nashville, Tenn.) and freshmen Dequantez Sandifer (Nashville, Tenn.) and Tosin Auotunde (Ooltewah, Tenn.) will run the men's 800 while sophomores Rebecca Greenwall (Bogart, Ga.), Gaby Cader (Cleveland, Tenn.), and Ambria Reese (Memphis, Tenn.) along with freshman Helenka Kis (Columbia, Tenn.) will run the event for the women.
Freshman Zack Darby (Knoxville, Tenn.) will run the men's 3000 meter and the Mocs will have two teams in each of the men's and women's 4x400 meter relay to close out the meet.
