The Mocs hit the pitch Friday night looking to improve on its 2012 finish. Chattanooga returns last year’s No. 2 leading scorer for the team, Hannah Wyatt (Soddy Daisy, Tenn.) to the lineup. She will play a mix of midfield and forward. Junior Crystal Mackezyk (Columbia, Tenn.) provides a strong presence in the midfield while senior Andria Aurand (Hixson, Tenn.) anchors and veteran backfield. Sophomore Lauren Thomas (Memphis, Tenn.) and veteran Taylor Mangrum (Franklin, Tenn.) will battle it out for the starting spot in goal.
Austin Peay has advanced to the finals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament twice in the last three years and return a strong core from last year’s squad. Senior Tatiana Ariza is fourth on the Lady Govs all-time scoring chart and needs just two to become the fourth player in APSU history to reach 100 points. Also climbing the list for Austin Peay is senior Andy Quiceno who is tied for third on the Lady Govs’ all-time scoring chart.
