Erika Lerum joined the Chattanooga athletics department in July 2008 and is now the Director of Marketing and Promotions. She received her promotion to director in the summer of 2011.
Prior to that, Lerum served as Coordinator of Marketing, Promotions, & Development beginning July of 2009. She manages the promotional and marketing aspect of gameday operations for all home athletic events, on-field and on-court promotion announcer, cheerleading and Sugar Moc in-game coordinator and student ambassador.
Lerum has helped design and implement new football season ticket initiatives resulting in record-breaking season ticket numbers over the last three seasons. She also helped coordinate the Blue & Gold Tipoff event which showcased the men's and women's basketball teams on a full-size basketball court in the First Tennessee Pavilion during tailgating.
Lerum first came to Chattanooga in July of 2008, serving as the Marketing and Ticket Sales Assistant. During her first year, Lerum helped increase group ticket sales for football and men's and women's basketball by more than 50 percent. She was also responsible for the fledgling Scrappy's Kids Club promotion, membership and programs.
The Barrington, Ill., native is a 2008 graduate of Northern Illinois University. She served as the Sports Marketing and Promotions Intern in the Huskies' Athletics Department assisting with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for football, basketball and volleyball. She also assisted with the management of season ticket renewals for football and men's and women's basketball and worked to acquire new season ticket sales. In addition, Lerum was a member of the school's cheerleading squad and served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Lerum resides in Chattanooga.
