The Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball saw senior catcher Vivian Morimoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil) connect on a grand slam for the second-consecutive game in an 8-1 win over Elon on Wednesday at the Southern Conference Tournament in Boone, N.C. Senior designated Player Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.) went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, showing why the league coaches voted her SoCon Player of the Year.

The Chattanooga softball needed some late inning hits from seniors Jessica Traxler (Chino Hillis, Calif.), an RBI single, and Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.), a two-run homer, to propel the Lady Mocs over Furman, 5-8, on Sunday afternoon at Frost Stadium. The contest served as the final home contests as 320 fans came out to support seniors Vivian Morimoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Fuzzard and Traxler.

The Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball team notched a 2-0 shutout win in game one before out-slugging Furman, 12-7, in the second contest to complete the sweep on Saturday afternoon at Frost Stadium. Sophomore outfielder Stephanie Rieck (Chandler, Ariz.) continued her hitting streak to 15 games, while senior pitcher Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.) registered her third-career multi-home run game to move atop of the school total bases mark with 436.

The Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball team tallied 16 hits and tied a season-high six doubles, but would leave 14 runners on base as the home team rallied twice at Frost Stadium to tie the contest at three in the seventh and eventually win in the eighth, 5-4, against Western Carolina. Game-tying singles were hit by junior second baseman Ninjja Suetsugu (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and freshman outfielder Cheyenne Willis (Manchester, Tenn.), while senior catcher Vivian Morimoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil) sent home the game-winning run on a bases loaded hit by pitch.

The Chattanooga Lady Mocs completed a marathon game that started Saturday and was completed Sunday, which included several record setting performances in a 16-2 five inning victory at Appalachian State. Senior designated player Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.) had a career game driving in a school-best nine runs on two home runs, a double and walk at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
