Lots going on leading up to the season opener on Saturday!

There is a lot going on this week as we get ready for the opening kickoff of the 2015 college football season.  The eighth-ranked Chattanooga Mocs host No. 7 Jacksonville State in the only Division I game between top-10 opponents on Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) at Finley Stadium.

The Scenic City is gearing up for the CODE BLUE game.  The festivities begin when the Mocs take over Nightfall for a big pep rally downtown on Friday.  Nightfall is a weekly concert series that features diverse, quality musical entertainment in the heart of Chattanooga.  It wraps up its 27th year with the Mocs' pep rally on Friday.

The UTC Band and Spirit Squad kick off the evening at 6:30 p.m.  Mocs head coach Russ Huesman and selected student-athletes address the crowd at 6:45 p.m., followed by the opening act, Magic Birds, at 7:00 p.m.

At 7:45 p.m., the UTC Mockingbirds acapella singers perform, followed by the headline act, Malpass Brothers, at 8:00 p.m.  Come on out and enjoy a great night of music with the Mocs as we all get ready for Saturday's game against Jacksonville State.
