University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis head coach
Chuck Merzbacher announced the addition of Bo Nash to the Mocs roster for the 2018-19 season. Nash is a two-time state champion from Oxford, Miss.
Nash has helped his Oxford High School tennis team to a 55-3 mark over the last three years, including team state championships in 2015 and 2016. He has a 37-6 individual mark and he won the boy's 5A title last season. He won the doubles championship as a sophomore and is a two-time Clarion Ledger First Team All-State honoree.
"We are excited to add Bo to our roster for next year," stated Merzbacher. "He is a very hard worker and tough competitor, and with this type of work ethic, he will flourish at the college level."
Nash is listed as a two-star prep prospect on TennisRecruiting.net and is the No. 4 prospect in the state of Mississippi. He was twice for Southern Jr. Cup in Boy's 16s and 18s. This includes top three players in each age division from each state in the Southern district.
He was awarded the Powers Moore Sportsmanship Award, which goes to an individual in Mississippi in recognition of good sportsmanship on and off the court.
Nash is the son of Rose and Louis Nash. He has an older sister, Sarah, who plays tennis at Delta State. He is an honor roll student who plans to major in Mechanical Engineering.
