Post-Game Quotes at Wofford
Spartanburg, S.C. – Feb. 11 – Benjamin Johnson Arena
Matt McCall, Head Coach
On importance of win.
"It was huge. I've been fortunate enough to be a part of a lot wins. I don't think I've been a part of a win with that much adversity thrown at us in the last 24-48 hours. It was a terrific win against a great team in a terrific environment. I couldn't be any more proud of this group."
On contributions of individual performances.
"You look at Greg [Pryor], what he went through the other night, he scored the first 14 points of the game.
Nat Dixon doesn't play in the second half until about eight minutes and kicks in two huge three's and an and-one. I thought
Rodney Chatman really grew up tonight. As a freshman, in those situations, in the game late with the game on the line, I thought he was terrific. You have to give Justin [Tuoyo] a lot of credit too, playing on a bum ankle and playing, contributing in as many minutes as he played. This whole team, you have to give a lot of credit."
Nat Dixon, So.-G
On importance of win and what was key.
"It's a big win coming off a tough loss. We came in here knowing it was going to be loud and we just wanted to fight through adversity and stay together as a team. Coach told us to stay alert and stay on our toes, always be alert. We needed to help out when we can and communicate, they are good coming off screens so we always needed to be ready."
On knocking down two clutch three's toward end of game.
"Always keep believing in your shot, and I know my teammates do, so when it was in my hands I let it go. I'm always in the gym working on my shot, so I have to keep trusting my shot and trusting the process."
On the depth of contributions of team.
"Some nights it's one person, and some nights it's somebody else, that's what is so great about our team. We have an unbelievable group of seniors, who believe in the young guys that have only been here for a year, and they trust us at the end of the game to help them out and want to win the game."
Greg Pryor, Sr.-G
On scoring first 14 points of the game.
"It just played out that way, I didn't come in really focused solely on offense, I wanted to come in focused on leading my team to a much needed win tonight."
On the spark Nat Dixon gave the team.
"We look forward to what he [
Nat Dixon] gives us every night. He gives us great energy every single practice and game, and he makes us a lot better as a team. It was no surprise what he did tonight offensively and defensively."
