The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team released its 2017 schedule today.  Five of the 11 contests are at Finley Stadium this fall.

UTC opens with the previously announced non-conference matchup against Jacksonville State in Montgomery, Ala., on Saturday, Aug. 26.  The 7 p.m. (EST) kickoff is the only college football game on the week before the opening of the season.  It is nationally televised on ESPN.

After a week off, the Mocs visit LSU on Sept. 9.  That is the Tigers' first home game under new head coach Ed Orgeron. 

The home schedule starts the following week with a visit from non-conference, in-state rival UT Martin with a 6 p.m., kickoff. Other homes games are against Western Carolina (6 p.m.) on Sept. 30, Homecoming against Furman (4 p.m.) on Oct. 7, Military Appreciation Day against The Citadel (2 p.m.) on Oct. 21 and Senior Day against ETSU on Nov. 18 (2 p.m.).

No game times have been set for other away games at VMI (Sept. 23), Mercer (Oct. 14), Samford (Oct. 28) and Wofford (Nov. 4).
