University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate
Jasmine Joyner signed a professional contract Thursday to continue her basketball career in Finland with Eurobasket.

Joyner, the 2017 Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, begins her first year of professional basketball. She was a two-time SoCon Tournament MVP and led the Mocs in scoring, rebounding and was third in the nation for blocked shots.

She closed out her career at Chattanooga with 1330 career points, 14
th all-time at Chattanooga, and was is ranked third on the Mocs' career charts for rebounds with 982.

Her career with UTC was defined by her 7-foot wing span that recorded 436 career rejections. She set both a school and Southern Conference record for blocked shots and is ranked eighth all-time in the NCAA. Her 3.57 is 14
th best in the history of women's basketball in the NCAA. She led the nation for most of the season and set the school record for blocked shots in a single game with nine twice this past season.

Joyner will leave for Finland at the end of August.
