Opening Statement:
"I am just so proud of our players.  We went through a lot of adversity.  We don't have great depth on the defensive line as it is, and to have two guys go down (Devonnsha Maxwell and Telvin Jones) and have guys step up … linebackers go down and guys step up.  We just kept fighting.  It was as hard fought of a game as I have ever been a part of.  To come out of that with a win on the road in overtime against a team like The Citadel, you have to give credit to the players and their resiliency and toughness."

On the play of Nick Tiano and Bryce Nunnelly:
"There were some really courageous plays.  That would be the word I would use to descried it.  The first touchdown, the long one to Bryce, Nick stood in there against a free rush and took one on the chin.  That is going to be a clip that I am going to use forever to teach the quarterbacks about what it means to play that position."

"Bryce Nunnelly showed up and had a fantastic game."

"A game like this is a complete team effort.  Those two certainly had some fantastic statistics, but this game was won by everyone on the team.  Those that are here tonight and those that are back in Chattanooga that prepared us as well as anyone can."

On the defensive stand after the blocked punt:
"It was critical.  Obviously, we made a mistake on our punt team and we paid for that.  For the defense to be able to come back out and force a field goal from the one, just again was just resiliency and toughness, mentally and physically. 

On tonight's win moving the program forward:
"I think what tonight is, you just have to play.  You have to play until it is over.  You have to play every play like it is the one that is going to hurt you.  You never know when the big moments are going to show up.  I think our guys did that and fought hard."

"The 2.5 yards passing. It was a run/pass option for me. I came in motion, Nick pitched it to me and just about the whole defense all shifted to the left. Giberti was wide open. He was so open, and it took like 20 minutes to get to him. I thought please catch it, please catch it. It was a great catch by him…not a great throw by me."
